10 Things To Watch Instead Of The News

Since we’ve got some time on our hands, I thought I’d share some of my favorite films & series on Netflix with you! Did you know that you can also watch stuff with your buddies online? There’s a Chrome extension called Netflix Party…so cute. Check out my list of recommendations below if you’re looking for something new :)

  • Leading with curiosity and keeping it real, Gwyneth Paltrow and her Goop team take a look at psychedelics, energy work and other challenging wellness topics.

Hello Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea

Heal

  • Stories from spiritual leaders, physicians and those with chronic illnesses reveal the powerful connection between the human psyche and physical health.

Story of God

  • A different divine subject is covered in each hour-long episode, titles of which include `Creation, The Devil Inside, Afterlife, Apocalypse, and Who Is God?' To explore these topics, host and narrator Morgan Freeman visits nearly 20 cities in seven countries to see some of the world's greatest religious sites.

Trevor Noah, Son of Patricia

  • "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah touches on tacos, runaway snakes, camping, racism immunity and lessons he learned from his mother in this comedy special.

The Dawn Wall

  • Cameras follow Tommy Caldwell and Kevin Jorgeson as they take on the staggering challenge of free-climbing Yosemite's most formidable rock formation. ** Very similar to ‘Free Solo’.

Jim & Andy, the Great Beyond

  • Using 100 hours of footage from the set of "Man on the Moon," filmmaker Chris Smith documents Jim Carrey's transformation into legendary performance artist and comedian Andy Kaufman.

American Factory

  • In post-industrial Ohio, a Chinese billionaire opens a new factory in the husk of an abandoned General Motors plant. Early days of hope and optimism give way to setbacks as high-tech China clashes with working-class America.

Parasite

  • You can rent this on Amazon or YouTube etc.

  • Greed and class discrimination threaten the newly formed symbiotic relationship between the wealthy Park family and the destitute Kim clan. It won four Academy Awards this year including ‘Best Picture’, you have got to see it!
