What’s Your Biggest Fear?
When I was a tiny tot, my parents would calm me down from a tantrum with two questions: “What’s your biggest fear?” and, “why would that be so bad?” This practice of self-awareness is a super powerful tool when we can remember to use it. Almost every time I enter a place of panic or fear, asking myself those questions sparks the realization that the fear-based thinking is irrational.
So, I invite you to fill in the blanks: My biggest fear is __________ & that would be 'so bad' because ____________.
Continue to ask yourself "Why would that be so bad?" with every answer, and get to the bottom of it - the very core of the fear. When you can look your shadow-self in the eye, you can begin to work out those kinks and to love yourself more deeply, more unconditionally. Be gentle with what you find - we are always evolving.
