Humans Have Seasons Too
Greetings Loved Ones,
Let's remember that we are organic beings - organic matter. We are the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink. As part of nature, it makes sense that we too have seasonal cycles. Just like Autumn, there are parts of us that will drop like the leaves, and return to Earth to convert. So, what are you letting go of this season? And on the flip side, what are you harvesting?
I am letting go of my need to people please...letting go of sacrificing my own needs to make other people feel good. I know that when I am at my best, I can give from the heart and radiate to my community. One of my biggest fears is that I’ll hurt someone’s feelings by speaking my truth or by going my own way. But when that fear creeps in, I remind myself that we are all responsible for our own feelings.
While I will always strive to be kind, I cannot control how someone else responds or reacts - and that’s okay. I do not believe that we came here to suffer, but I do understand that pain is inevitable from time to time. It’s part of the human experience, and it’s how we grow and understand ourselves better. Pain can also teach us the power of empathy, resilience, faith…and often, choice.
Turning the page, I am harvesting peace, honesty, reflection and bravery. Harvesting the courage to step out of my comfort zone and invest in my own wellbeing for the long run. That might mean having a difficult conversation with a loved one, saying no to a job I don't really want to take, maybe booking a solo trip abroad! Let's get real with ourselves. Let’s identify exactly what we want to invest our time in and trust the process.
Your turn. What are you letting go of? What are you harvesting?
