Healing Is Our Responsibility
Hello loves.
Today, I want to revisit the importance of healing…on a cellular, ancestral and karmic level. More specifically, I want to talk about the ‘transfer of trauma’. No matter how amazing our childhood was, every one of us carries some kind of conditioning that has the potential to inhibit us in the long run. The pain points from our past can end up manifesting physically (often as back pain or disease) and we will subconsciously bring our conditioning into every aspect of our lives without necessarily realizing it.
When we get triggered, we have an opportunity to get inquisitive - to turn the pain point into a learning experience and deepen our healing. Not only do I want to unpack trauma for myself, but for my loved ones. I’m tired of holding myself back because of limiting belief systems from the past.
This is where I think we can all relate. Each and every one of us has a certain amount of healing to do. That could be recovering from being bullied as a kid, growing up around abuse, suffering from an eating disorder, being rejected by a lover…you get it. Well, the thing is, if we don’t take the time to recover from these past circumstances, our partners/friends/family will get the brunt of it. I believe that the most important part of the human experience is to unravel our limiting beliefs and remember who we really are…the purest form of love and light. Essentially, find peace.
Now, let’s get into the actual healing part. This is the work. One of my favorite ways to reset my conditioning is through hypnosis. Currently, I’m taking Lacy Philips’ ‘Unblocked’ courses. Lacy teaches that our life reflects our belief systems from ages 0-14. The work is to unpack any belief systems that relates to unworthiness and self-esteem and rewire ourselves to be open to abundance and everything we desire. This is done through diving into the subconscious and revisiting where we didn’t get the love that we needed… or where made ourselves small. Then, journaling and making a plan of action to restore our innate worthiness.
Healing really comes down to that: self worth. When we can truly sit in our worth, we become magnetic. A daily meditation practice is also extremely helpful. Making that time to be with ourselves and let our minds run free brings so much clarity and expansion. Meditation also helps us move through the day to day with more grace and compassion. Another great practice is mirror work! Stand in front of the mirror and speak to yourself in positive affirmations. When you close this tab, take two minutes to stand in front of the mirror and say:
I am a miracle.
I am powerful.
I am deeply loved.
I am beautiful in every way.
I am exactly where I am supposed to be.
I am an inspiration.
I am a light being.
I am allowing great things.
I am at peace.
Give yourself a hug and a smile.
